Kristin O’Malley, President and CEO of Cape Cod Foundation (CCF), talks about charitable giving. For 30 years CCF has handled the back-office side of philanthropy so donors can make sure funds go where desired in the most effective way. People do 70% of giving during holiday season. Individuals can give IRA qualified distributions and/or appreciated assets directly to charitable organizations to manage tax consequences.
